NEWCOMER INFORMATION––Small town character, big town industry

Carroll County is located in the "golden triangle," halfway between Louisville, Kentucky, and Cincinnati, Ohio, along the Ohio River and 71 miles northwest of Lexington, Kentucky. Carrollton, the county seat, is still a quaint river community (pop. 3,924), with a historic downtown area that looks much like it did 100 years ago. The county hosts approximately 10,500 people.
